Armchair BEA (Day 4): Non-Fiction

I haven't read a lot of non-fiction books in fact I'll share with you some that actually made it to my favorites: [Quick tip: click on the picture(s) for more information)

This might be the first non-fiction book I read (or at least as far as I could remember) I dunno why I picked it up way back then but I just did...it looks so much fun and intriguing I have no idea what it's all about but I just knew it's gonna be awesome! perhaps I've heard it from friends or some ad. or somewhere. But it was really quite life changing for me I remember a story when they conducted this live eulogy like seriously before that person even died and I'm immediately inspired to do just the same when my time comes haha! (maybe...someday.)

mere words can't suffice how much I love this guy, this book and basically everything about it! view my craziness over here.

I'm still reading this one.I bought it because I told myself if I'm gonna read for the first time a biography of an author it would be no other than Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (One of my all time favorite authors ever!) plus it was such a great bargain I can't resist! I think this book is truly a magnificent compilation.

Ok, so this is pretty interesting what I'm about to share with you now are two of the most wonderful, powerful, life changing books that would definitely rock your world!  BEHOLD! THE SECRET OF LIFE!

I learned a lot of things from these two amazing books (FOR REAL!) and some of them I'm not even aware I'm actually doing like some sort of default setting/trait or whatever. It's very simple actually stay positive,be enthusiastic in life and throughout life.Good vibes! (+) thoughts= (+) energy.Thoughts become things. It's quite challenging especially in the world we are living in but it's all possible! I highly recommend it and greatly urge/encourage you to read it!

Some things that I also like is browsing travel guides, random facts and world record books.

Still one of my childhood ultimate dream is to go to JAPAN! maybe because I watched too much anime and devoured read lots of manga growing up haha! I love the japanese culture and I even dreamt of attending high school over there mainly because of their uniforms XD

Anyway, another great place I'd love to visit is Ireland I've been referencing it since highschool with my bffs so why not? I'd also like to tour around other European countries ah such wanderlust. For sure I will all go there one day...what about you?what's in your bucketlist?

Now,the thing about world records is that when I was a kid I tried and attempted some of them I forgot which one but as I'm like "Hey I think I can do that" but it was easier said than done I think most of us did haha! but have you ever managed one?I mean are you a record/title holder? or have you ever attempted on anything?

Share your thoughts in the comment section below coz those are always interesting haha! ^_^

Check out more blog posts over here and some more non-fiction blog posts that I made right here.

Thanks for reading! ^_~

Armchair BEA (Day 3): Literary Fiction

Design credit: Emily of Emily's Reading Room
I have no vivid idea what literary fiction even means so many thanks to google I managed to solved such dilemma haha! thank you internet! XD

HEADS UP! there would be lots of links and (re)direction involved on this post I added some (hopefully) helpful links try to click them for more info. and please do bear with me. Thanks for your patience and cooperation ^_^

I stumbled upon this well written article here.It has lots of insights from different literary editors about this genre and 10 reasons for lit. rejection.Moving on...I also found a book that's very much fitting on this category that I actually read a-ha!

The Perks of being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

such a wonderful heart warming story and the movie adaptation was brilliant!though I find Emma's american accent weird yet ok she did a good job being Sam .For more of my movie review exp. (click here.)

I'd also like to share with you some of my to be read pile (TBR) on this genre since this books are the ones I would most likely recommend/ask & tell a friend about. I do admit that I haven't read a lot from this genre so I'll definitely change that and try to get into them soon enough pwahaha!

Some of the Top bestsellers:
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (ever so legendary! one of the must read books)

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini (this sounds interestingly epic so I got it)

The Help by Kathryn Stockett (I love the movie so why not read the book as well? ;))

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (perhaps the first circus novel I'll read)

Water for Elephants: A Novel by Sara Gruen (lots of good reviews and crying moms that read/seen the film, moms knows best haha! )

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein (too cute to pass X3)

Cloud Atlas: A Novel by David Mitchell (The movie's kinda confusing at first but the concept's great reading this might clear some things up)

Les Misérables by Victor Hugo (the play and movie adaptation never fails to make me cry T_T)

Now for THE BOOK I'm so freakin excited about!

I love this guy! he's definitely a LEGEND I mean all his stories are so fun to read and weird yet amazingly awesome you should check them all out and I found some free stuff like How to talk to Girls At Parties by Neil Gaiman.

Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan, I've been hearing a lot of good things about it from friends so I'm greatly intrigued.

Life of Pi by Yann Martel, I watched the movie and it was very touching and moving. One thing comes to mind God is Good all the time, all the time God is Good.So I'd like to read it you know what they say the book is always better and a friend of mine urge me to so yeah haha!

Want some free ebooks?here are some of the Top 100 Best Sellers in Literary Fiction on Amazon.

Aimchair BEA (Day 2): Blogger Development & Genre Fiction

So today's topic is about becoming a Better Blogger & Genre: Fiction.

I started off from having no idea whatsoever about blogging to actually typing in and adding some of my own ideas and creating contents. So how do I exactly stimulate such things? well it takes time, calm down,be patient, focus, think and it's ok if ever you don't have any idea(s) at the moment sooner or later such grand idea will hit as you dwell on it sometimes the things I didn't even thought I could do suddenly I can do it as I'm always like hey why not? JUST DO IT!(more on the stay positive, look at the bright side of things and being enthusiastic!).As time went by I learned a lot of things many thanks to books, the interwebs (small-big contributions) through lots of people who shared their knowledge, learning by means of following-discovering various websites and other sort of platforms out there [as I joined quite a lot of them that may (most of the time) inspires me]like Goodreads,Twitter,Tumblr,Youtube, blogaholic & bloglovin etc. The Power of Observation, yes! overtime eventually I noticed gradual changes on different people's blogs,POVs and contents they are posting like what makes them/it unique?how it attracts people, cover topics, hosting etc. and I usually tend to brainstorm, over analyze, organize, weigh pros and cons, try out old/new stuff, figure out stuff which works best for me is it convenient? or not. Also doing things that makes me happy.

Sometimes I like to shake things out a bit or be on hiatus once in a while chill and enjoy! There's not a lot of things happening where I'm at right now but I always try to partake to as many live events possible if there's any whether in real life or simply in a form of a google plus hangout or whatever.

I'm still learning a lot of things every single day and tried to remind myself some of the important stuff in which I might actually forget once in awhile (notes and drafts are always handy). As much as I'd like to monetize my account(s) I'd rather not for it usually suck the fun out of it (at least for me).I tried to collaborate with other folks like doing Author Interviews, giveaways, challenges, buddy reads, blog hops, doing things for the first time and stuff like that.It was really nice!I think my online personality somewhat improved as I tackle and touch various topics in order to convey my opinion, suggestion and different emotions.

Now about Genre: fiction I read all sorts of books though I usually tend to gravitate towards mystery, fantasy, manga and graphic novels but I'm pretty much open into trying something new.One thing I learned a lot so far and discovered more about is YA and different series from booktubers (people who make book related videos on youtube, checkout the link scroll down look at the subscriptions page, discover, watch and don't forget to subscribe!) they definitely encouraged me to read more,be more social, connect, meet people,be out there and be interactive though of course from time to time my book/choice(s) varies depends on my mood haha but it's all good!

So many wonderful things yet to discover!

more blog posts and information here.

Feel free to recommend me anything.Go ahead and share! I'll try my best to check them out also feel free to keep in touch with me thru the interwebs my social networks are all located on the right side. ^_~

Airchair BEA: Classic Literature (Classics)

Design credit: Nina of Nina Reads.
Ah the Classics...the ups and downs, timeless entertainment and epic experience(s)! I do agree that it is sometimes misunderstood, some under or overrated by critics but found their place in comforts of so many readers(all ages) around the world .I think this is the one of many ultimate as I may say "award" many writers/authors dream of their works being Completely Legendary! (hence Classic).

I definitely need to read more of these...I didn't really particularly like this section before I found it boring and way too time consuming but I still gave it a shot! and found out that most of my favorite timeless tales are here as if some of my life story and answers could be found within this category haha! I fell in love with this genre due to The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.I recently finished Vol. I.I must admit it took me awhile to read it but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! XD

There's just something about it that definitely grabbed me the first time I read the blurb and the first story of Sherlock deciphering Watson, meeting him the first time by jove! he's so clever!.(I found out all about it after watching an anime called Detective Conan I didn't even know such could exist but it did! :O)

Oh wow it's so amazingly EPIC! every case full of mystery solved in a matter of seconds or so. If Sherlock is real for sure there would definitely be extremely low-No crime rates everywhere! The best and my all time favorite fictional detective of all time!

So yeah if you like Mystery/Thriller definitely check out Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Bits of romance and characters (full of character): any works by Jane Austen.I highly recommend *cough* Pride and Prejudice *cough*.Wuthering heights by Emily Bronte never fails to make me cry every single time! the epic love of Cathy and Heathcliff T_T .Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, makes me want to be this secret philanthropist and help a lot of people as much as I can and of course, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, This is the first book I've read and re-read this year (same year!yeah it rarely happens) I read it due to the upcoming/now released movie adaptation (in which I should watch asap) I'm still not sure if I should count it as an all time favorite since I read it twice but it must count for something right? anyway, these books taught me a lot of stuff like to empathize and appreciate things in life etc.

I think the classic genre is a must got to-read at least once in your life to experience the wonders of it all!

check out more participating blogs here.

Feel free to recommend anything,What's your pick? and will you give this genre/any of these a shot?
Tell me in the comments below and let me know. ^_^

Airchair BEA: Intro.

Hi! My name is Kim Cuasay and you can simply call me Kim.
yeah that's me having fun doing a spinoff of zombie/carnivore/how humans eat their food
it's all play and all good Noone was harm in making this haha!

So yey-yeah! I finally decided to participate on Airchair Bea this year WOoohoo!this is actually my First time to do so coz I'd like to do more and participate, learn also to socialize more with fellow book bloggers etc. For those of you who doesn't know anything about it I'll give you a quick rundown. It's the experience for book bloggers to participate in Book Expo America (BEA) from the comfort of their homes. This experience is created lovingly by book bloggers specifically for our peers who for whatever reason are not able to participate in the main conference in New York each year.It bring publishers, authors, and bloggers together in celebrating our love for all things literary by hosting celebrations such as sneak peeks, daily discussion topics, and sponsored giveaways. That's the Mission Statement my dear friends and you can all read more about it on their new FAQ page.

Alright then on with the Q&As let's get to know each other a lil better now shall we?

You already know my name Kim which could mean a lot of things based on any search engine or baby book(s) haha! (I hope you could tell me yours in the comment section below so I could address you properly). I've been blogging for 1 year, 11 months and counting... :OMG! my blogversary would be up next month  it all went by SO FAST! I still can't believe it!. I got into blogging due to my Godma (MissGennD) convinced me to launch one I didn't like it at first and I had no idea what to talk about then she tagged me on this 30 days photo challenge then after that I started to think about things that I like and love to do or would like to do and talk about which is mostly about books! XD since I don't have a lot of friends in real life that seems to talk about them openly I reckon this is a great place and idea to begin with *dan-Dan-DAN!*  yes of course the internet! pwahaha! surprisingly so I found it as a common denominator to almost everyone like < friends who likes to read/talk about books with or whatever and the magical wonders of the interwebs ;))

Anyways, I'm currently living somewhere around the Sunshine State (FLorida),USA.I love it here! of all the places I went to I found this place best because the weather's great!free beach galore, lots of friendly and honest folks, low crime rate(on my area ;), lots of parking spaces and indeed very peaceful!(PRICELESS!)

One non-book-related thing that everyone reading my blog may not know about me is that I almost died multiple times (seriously? yup!) like from drowning, crossing the street(s),driving I actually lost count haha! lots of very enlightening experiences and I guess my time is not yet up NOT TODAY it seems...and I still need to read lots of books, live so many lives through them also experience lots of things in real life! (Power up!)

And so if I could eat dinner with any author or character I'd definitely pick Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes I LOVE THEM SO SO MUCH! (yes IN ALL CAPS for emphasis haha! XD) the first time I read the blurb I'm immediately hooked! every case, story and just basically everything was just so fascinatingly EPIC and brilliantly well thought out.I'll try to talk more about it on my next post about Armchair BEA: Classics so watch out and stay tune for that!

Also along with that I greatly encourage you to sign up here, join in the fun and you can participate as much or as little as you wish in this wonderful event (more info. on FAQ page).

Enough about me tell me more about you! feel free to type anything on the comment section below or follow me elsewhere in the interwebs ^_~

Journal Writing

I like blogging and vlogging but I still adore writing on my journal its (in)convenient sometimes but its the easiest way to track things.Though there are times I prefer my livejournal due to its privacy (tags are quite handy too) coz my other stuff are just way too open I guess haha! but it's funny how I see these casual changes...through the years I'm really grateful I jot down such things it made me more conscious in a way I'm such a drone in life.I'm grateful to my old self for being so enthusiastic that I managed to list things that happened or what I'm happy about, always looking at the bright side of things. Also the doodles I'm always looking forward to that especially weird ones haha!

Now, I'm trying to write some things depends on my mood on what topic would be for the day of course but I'm still fond of drawing. My vocabulary sorta changed (somehow) but change is always good I welcome it.To more words and lessons I have yet to learn, memories to jot down,to more things in life and throughout life as I used to say \_/ \_/ cheers!
