About the book:
Mandy is a quiet teenager who just wants to blend in with the crowd rather than stand out as anything or anybody. Mandy's pretty successful at this until her parents decide it's time to move from Boston to the quiet seaside town of York Beach, Maine, to "be closer to Nana". Although Mandy has been vacationing in York every summer since she was a child, she has no desire to live there and is worried about fitting in and finding friends during her senior year of high school. My Review: 4 stars
When a shy, queit teenage girl trying to be normal moved along with her family at her childhood vacation house to be closer to Nana interesting things began to unfold unknowingly she’ll discover and unravel a secret way beyond her years!

The cover's a bit old and quite haunting yet the story’s actually really enchanting, funny, exciting, quick read Mandy’s dilemmas, answers she’s longing for, abilities, mysteries she’ll learn along the way are very intriguing…starting over’s quite tough especially faking a bit of emotions in order to keep others happy but I’m glad when I saw that she and I shared a common favorite dish which is very comforting, satisfyingly good that I’ll never get tired of eating. Her love interest and curiosity grows as she seek her answers inside a very old family hope chest. I really enjoyed and I’m very happy how great the ending was plus the wisdom within the story.

  2. Glad to see that you enjoyed this. From your description of the book, it seems that this cover doesn't really match the tone of the story.
